“FOUNDATION” course, basic movements are the letters that will then help you to create your dance.

Think of each basic move as a letter in the Gypsy dance language. You’ll start by mastering these fundamentals, like the alphabet of storytelling. Then, with each step, you’ll build your vocabulary, ready to write your own dazzling dance narratives.
No experience needed! This course is designed for complete beginners. We’ll guide you step-by-step, transforming basic movements into the building blocks of your Gypsy dance journey.
What you will learn on Russian Romani/Gypsy dance course for Open level/Level 1:
- The fundamentals steps
- Popular travelling steps, introduction to rhythms
- Basic arms movements
- Music accents and count in Russian Gypsy style
- Hands and the skirt combined with steps
- Combos and little choreographies

All classes are recorded, you will get the video and be able to practice in your own time. Recording is available on Monday. Recordings will be available for 2 months.

What to wear in the class
Any top and training pants/leggings which allow you to move freely. Both ladies and gentlemen will also need Flamenco shoes for tapping and footwork. But if you do not have shoes yet, don`t worry, still come to the class and take any shoes with a little heel.
