New Level 1 Russian Romany/Gypsy dance 4-week course starts on 3 June 2023

The basis of RUSSIAN GYPSY DANCE. 

Saturday at 15:30 – 16:30 pm London Time class is for Open level/Level 1

What you will learn on Russian Romani/Gypsy dance course for Open level/Level 1:

• The basic rules of Russian Romany dance style
• Important reference point of the style
• Travelling steps and the basic footwork
• Springs and conclusions
• Gypsy hands and the skirt used with new steps
• Combos and little choreographies

This course provides you with some fundamentals of the Russian Gypsy dance.

All classes are recorded, you will get the video and be able to practice in your own time. Recording is available on Monday. Recordings will be available for 2 months.

New 4-week course for LEVEL 2 – Improvers/Intermediates starts on 3 June 2023

“The POWER of Polka” in RUSSIAN GYPSY DANCE course.

Saturday 16:45 – 17:45 pm London Time, the class is for Level 2

• What is Polka in Russian Gypsy dancing
• Difference of the elements used in Polka style
• Main features and techniques of Polka
• Exciting footwork and the “fiery” skirt
• Uniqueness of Polka: rhythms, character, style
• Combos performed in a Gypsy way

This course provides you with deeper understanding of the style, music, movements and technique used in Russian Gypsy dance. Strong fundamentals needed for further quality development in Russian Gypsy dance.

All classes are recorded, you will get the video and be able to practice in your own time. Recorded class is available on Monday. Recordings will be available for 2 months.

What to wear in the class

Any top and training pants/leggings which allow you to move freely. Both ladies and gentlemen will also need Flamenco shoes for tapping and footwork. But if you do not have shoes yet, don`t worry, still come to the class and take any shoes with a little heel.
